Privacy Policy

AI Uni ("we", "us") is a learning platform that teaches professional skills for the AI economy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What We Collect

• Email address — used for account access and login, stored securely by our authentication provider.
• Session data — chat messages with the AI tutor, session progress, tutor notes, exercise submissions, and reading briefs. This is your learning record.
• Feedback — anything you submit through the feedback form or share with your tutor about the product experience.
• Usage data — page views on this site: which page, when, and the page you came from if your browser tells us. We count these ourselves rather than through an analytics product, and this site sets nothing that would recognise you on a later visit — so we can count visits but not visitors. That is a smaller number than we could have had, and an honest one.
• Voice, if you turn it on — the assistant bar has a microphone button. It is off until you press it. When it is on, your browser does the listening — on most browsers that means sending what you say to the browser's maker — and hands us the words; we receive text, never audio. We store no recording, and the text is treated exactly like text you typed.

When you talk to the bar

Voice mode is off until you turn it on, and the first time you do we say this on screen before your browser asks for the microphone. When it is on, the listening is done by your browser, not by us. On most browsers that means what you say is sent to the browser's maker — Google on Chrome, Apple on Safari — to be turned into text, under their terms rather than ours. What comes back to us is the text, not the audio. We store no recording. The words land in the ask box for you to read and edit, and nothing is sent anywhere until you press send — speaking never submits anything by itself.

How We Use It

• To deliver your courses and track your progress
• To improve the tutoring experience and curriculum
• To respond to your feedback and support requests

That's it. We don't use your data for advertising, profiling, or anything unrelated to your education.

What We Don't Do

• We don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
• We don't share your data with third parties for their own purposes. Voice mode is not an exception: your audio never passes through us at all — your browser sends it to its own maker when you press the microphone, and what reaches us is the text (see When you talk to the bar).
• We don't train AI models on your data. Your chat logs and exercises are yours.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies:

• Authentication cookies — set by our authentication provider to keep you logged in.
• A visit cookie — groups the pages you read in one sitting, so one person reading four pages isn't counted as four people. It expires 30 minutes after your last page view, and it cannot recognise you when you come back.

We don't use marketing cookies or third-party trackers.

Third-Party Services

• Authentication provider — handles login and stores your credentials securely
• Hosting provider — serves the site and the application
• AI service provider — powers the AI tutor. Your messages are sent to generate tutor responses. Our AI provider does not use API inputs to train models. See their privacy policy.
• Payment processor — handles payments when applicable. We don't store your payment details.
• Your browser's speech service — only if you turn voice mode on. The recognition is the browser's own, so on most browsers what you say goes to the browser's maker (Google on Chrome, Apple on Safari) to be turned into text, under their terms. We are not in that hop; we receive the text it returns.

Data Retention

Your learning data (session history, progress, reading briefs) is retained as long as your account is active. If you want it deleted, email privacy@bisbe.xyz and we'll take care of it within 30 days.

Your Rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it. Email privacy@bisbe.xyz — a person reads that mailbox and answers you.
