Team · the refusal

Over the seat limit

The rule is: block the next invite, never take a seat off somebody who is working. The refusal names the cause, names two ways out, keeps the half-finished invite, and says out loud that nobody is being thrown out. No amount appears anywhere on it.

All 10 seats are in use

Nobody loses their seat while you sort this out — the app just can't add an eleventh person yet.

Two seats look idle

Kev Lang hasn't opened it since 12 June. Sam Bright hasn't since 2 July. Removing either frees a seat straight away.

What your plan covers

Ten seats. Going past ten changes what you pay, so nothing happens to your bill until you say so, on a screen that shows you the difference first.

Your invite to Dana is saved

Free a seat and it sends. Nothing to retype.

It is already in your record of changes

"You tried to invite an eleventh person while all seats were in use. Nothing changed." — see the record.

A refusal that does not carry its fix is a support call we wrote ourselves. This one names the cause in the heading, names two seats that would free one up, keeps the work already done, and says the money sentence in plain English without ever showing a figure on an operational screen.

And the attempt is written down. Refusals are the entries most records leave out, and they are exactly the ones that answer "I tried that on Tuesday and nothing happened".
